I bought Dell XPS 15 9510 (i7-11th gen, RTX 3050 Ti), and from the very start, when I was doing work and listening to music, I notice audio cracklings and glitches, for 8 months I wasn't able to fix the problem. I was using LatencyMon and DPCChecker, because I was told the cracklings are probably due to DPC latency.
I was on contact support with dell, but they didn't manage to fix anything, they just recommended i reinstall drivers, reinstall OS multiple times, all bunch of stuff that doesn't work.
What I tried:
- Reinstalled sound drivers from microsoft, realtek, intel and dell website
- updated bios twice (once to the jenuary version, another time to dell's march version).
- reinstalled os like 5 times
The audio cracklings are really troubling and frustrate me. Most often they appear from internal speakers. I sometimes use USB headset or Bluetooth headset, cracks appear less often there, but still sometimes did manage to hear it I think.
I'm not actually sure the audio cracklings are caused by latency in DPC or ISR, or anything else, I'm not an expert. I just want to be able to listen to music all day without crackling sounds.
Here's a screen of Latency Mon and also copy of LatencyMon in the attachment. I would do anything to make those cracklings sound go away. What can I do?
Also, I'm pretty sure it's not hardware issue, because when I boot Ubuntu, the problem goes away.
