HI,

MY HAVE A ACER ASPIRE E1-531 LAPTOP FROM LAST 7 YEARS, I WAS TRYING TO UPGRADE LAST WEEK, I FAILED TO DO SO, AND IT RESTORE THE WINDOWS 7 AUTOMATICALLY, AFTER RESTORING IT STARTED SHOWING AT RIGHT BOTTOM THAT WY WINDOWS IS NOT GENUINE THEN I ENTERED THE PRODUCT KEY BUT IT FAILED TO RESTORE GENUINE VERSION SHOWING ERROR CODE 0xc004e003 PLS HELP

Hi SHUBHAMVGUPTA,

Please do NOT write in capital letters, writing in capital letters appears as shouting and won't come across as you may intend.

Your laptop should have a sticker of the installed Windows on the bottom, you may have to flip the laptop to see it. What Windows edition does it say?

With a pre-installed Windows, Windows will only activate automatically (or with a key in rare situations) when the installed Windows edition is the same as what is showing on the sticker. (e.g. Home, Pro, Ultimate for Windows 7).

From what it looks like to me, I'm no expert on this though, the installed Windows edition does not match the Windows edition on the sticker.

If you are trying to activate an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) version of Windows, your product key should be on a sticker under, at the side or behind your computer. If you are activating a retail version (bought a DVD from the store) then your product key should be inside your DVD or stuck to the side or on top of the DVD. Make sure you input the correct product key when activating Windows.

Active Windows OS over the phone.

Press Windows Key + R to open run
Type ‘SLUI 4’ and hit enter to open the Windows Activation dialog box
Select your country from the drop-down menu and click on Next.
Here you will get to see some toll-free phone numbers which you can call.
Follow the automated process. You might get lucky and talk to a real person. You will required to give the mentioned numbers to the other person, who will in turn give you a Confirmation ID, which you will need to enter. Once done, click on Activate.

1) Run setupdiag > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

2) List:
a) all antivirus software
b) any firewall software
c) any drive encryption software

3) Post an image disk management

4) Run the Sysnative log collector:
