I see nothing to indicate why 2.1.3.4 would have problems.

2.1.3.2 would have problems due to the lack of AM / PM output, but 2.1.3.4 should find the directories just fine so it does not try to create them again if they already exist... :confused2:

Sorry, Mike.... 2.1.8.4 doing the same - GUI does appear, then disappears; nothing in task bar.

ProcExp shows it at a constant 19,356k RAM with intermittent CPU usage from 0.01 to <0.01

Files attached. It's still running - 8 minutes now (check file timestamps).

I included the 2 dumps.

You should use 2.1.3.4 instead of 2.1.8.4

I'll try to look into why it might not see your directories. I'll have to add a pause statement and enter in your directory info by copy and paste into the .txt file, but I should have some results soon.

2.1.8.4 is all GUI based and the threading does not seem to take on your system. I'm working on a way to make it work on systems that have lower resources. May take some time.

Also, the subdirectory or file already exists messages resulted from when I changed things to handle your unique situation with the download file instead of download directory. I thought I had fixed them in 2.1.3.4 but if you could confirm that they are still broken in 2.1.3.4, that would help. :)

Ran the same 2 dumps through 2.1.3.4 - all OK except error msg -

Final CMD screen -

Should it be downloaded to the same dir I am running the app from?

Alright, thanks for letting me know 2.1.3.4 did resolve the directory issue.

The DRT file should be downloaded to download\dump.txt

How is it ending up in your root directory of the apps directory? Strange. :confused2:

Did you change the permissions on the download directory by chance?

NO.

Although I do know icacls very well, your app & output is not a place to screw with perms!!

Something is not right with your download directory. A copy of it should appear in the output directory, but yours is missing. I would advise checking permissions of the download directory to make sure it can be written to.

Sorry, I retract that last statement about the download directory itself. I looked in the wrong place. It is included in the output. A strange thing though: Your dump.txt file is from Oct. 3, 2012, but the cleaned up driver lists are from today...

Any changes made on Oct. 3 that might have contributed to the download issue?

Try renaming the download directory to "download backup" or something of that nature and see if you still have problems.

They are the same size, just different dates.

So where is the 3 Oct file being obtained from?

It's stored in the backup, dump.txt.bak, and is restored to dump.txt due to the fact that the download of dump.txt "failed"

Clearly the download of dump.txt did not fail since it exists in your parent directory. It is supposed to be moved to the download directory only if it is considered a good download. The apps are telling you that there was some error in the downloading of the dump.txt file. I do not know what that error is. I'll try to make a version that gives me the error number so I can check the list for the error value. One sec...

Just to put in my 2ยข
I had the "already exists" lines in a version earlier than 2134 (I think)

I checked and those directories did in fact exist, so I thought nothing of it.
They went away around the time 2134 came out (may have been a version or two earlier)

They didn't hurt anything, so I didn't think that they needed reporting.

Running new version now; dump.txt did d/l in primary directory.

Error message so far -
