I remember Von Neumann had a similar concept - Von Neumann universal constructor - Wikipedia

From the news article:

MISIM works by comparing snippets of code with millions of other programs it has already seen, taken from a large number of online repositories.

I wonder what the quality of the code is like in those repositories?!
