hello and thank you for your time. i have tried registry reviver, tweaking.com, standalone, fixit, and some others things to fix this issue. before i found Sysnative, my only option i saw left was using a windows disc that was supposed to be with the computer. i used to get a bsod once a day and now im down to this and hopefully this is the last problem for awhile. i have had at least 6 people and a 5 year old on this computer clicking and downloading whatever. then me with little experience trying to repair all the issues so you can imagine the endless headaches. i think i did the cbs thing right and i hope im not being rude or forward.

Hello sladen, welcome to Sysnative!

You're certainly not being rude or forward in the slightest! You've uploaded the logs perfectly, but I'm afraid this error will need another tool to diagnose fully. Can you download and install the System Update Readiness Tool please?

Download System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 (KB947821) [February 2014] from Official Microsoft Download Centre

It may take up to an hour to complete, but is usually finished in about 10 minutes - it all depends how severe the problems are. When it finishes, post the log:

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

Tom

P.S. I highly recommend you stay away from registry cleaners/optimisers in the future as they tend to create more problems than they fix :)

thank you for the reply. does it matter how many times i run it? it does take a while and the 6.0 version was done twice already but i deleted the logs. it is disappointing when i spend money for programs that don't do anything.

Hi sladen,

Sorry for linking you to the wrong one, but good job for finding the Vista one.

No it doesn't matter how much you run it :)

Tom

Hi sladen,

Thanks for the logs. They look fine to me! Having looked at your CBS log again, I've seen this:

Export registry as hive

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type regedit
  2. When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing

  4. Once selected, click File > Export....
  5. Change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (*.*)
  6. Name this file CBS (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.

Zip up the CBS file on your Desktop and upload it please.

i know we should do one thing at a time but because of all the programs that have been in and out of this computer it has difficulty finding programs to run other things and for some reason it downloads everything to a frostwire folder and i deleted that a long time ago.
