I am hoping that a Sysnative expert can help me with a problem I am encountering with my 64-Bit Microsoft Windows 8.1 installation.

Regarding the background to this problem, earlier today, on May 13th, 2015, I ran MS Windows Update and I successfully installed 15 Important Updates (125.8 MB), then restarted the computer and ran MS Windows Update again, successfully installing 3 Important Updates (22.6 MB), and then restarted the computer and ran MS Windows Update for a third time, attempting to install one last Important Update (4.5 MB).

This last update, Microsoft KB3046002, failed to install.

I re-attempted installation a few times, and when these attempts failed, I launched System File Checker in an Administrator's elevated CMD/Command window. After running SFC /SCANNOW, the utility reported that it had made repairs, but that two files remained corrupted and could not be repaired. I then launched the CBS log file in Notepad and determined the corrupt files were:

utc.app.json

and

telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json

At this point, I re-ran MS Windows Update and KB3046002 successfully installed.

After another reboot, I again ran System File Checker in an Administrator's elevated CMD/Command window and it again reported the same two files were corrupted and could not be repaired:

utc.app.json

and

telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json

After some online research, discovered SFCFix version 2.4.3.0 by niemiro. I ran this utility, which also confirmed the same two files were corrupted, as seen in the SFCFix.txt output file:

AutoAnalysis::
CORRUPT: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-u..ed-telemetry-client_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17807_none_910ac2c6daa01c43\utc.app.json
CORRUPT: C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-u..ed-telemetry-client_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17807_none_910ac2c6daa01c43\telemetry.ASM-WindowsDefault.json

I have attached SFCFix.txt for review and would appreciate an expert's opinion on how to repair these two corrupt files.

Thanks, in advance, for any assistance rendered - it's much appreciated.
