Hi,
I recently bought a whole new desktop rig, as my last one was outdated. I bsod only while idle (5 minutes to and 1 hour) and it’s the same 124 error everytime .I have run memtest86+ and it passed. I've ran chkdsk and found nothing. Lack of voltage is not a problem. Its not overclocked and there’s no update for bios. I am confused of what it could be.The zip file should contain the perfmon log.
OS - Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista ? Windows 7
· x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64
· What was original installed OS on system? I installed it myself
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? I purchased it from amazon.
· Age of system (hardware) 3 months
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? I installed it 3 months age but did a reinstall a month ago

· CPU i-5 4690k @ 3.50GHz
· Video Card – Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
· MotherBoard – Gigabyte Z97X-gaming 3
· Power Supply – 750W
Thank you
(sorry, I have Dyslexia so maybe some question answered wrong or spelling mistakes.)

Probably caused by : [COLOR=#ff0000]GenuineIntel[/COLOR]

The probably caused by is taken from this:

Code:
0: kd> [COLOR=#008000]dt nt!_KPRCB fffff780ffff0000 -y VendorString[/COLOR]
   +0x4bb8 VendorString : [13]  "[COLOR=#ff0000]GenuineIntel[/COLOR]"

I've just added the BIOS version information and motherboard information for reference:

Code:
0: kd> [COLOR=#008000]!sysinfo machineid[/COLOR]
Machine ID Information [From Smbios 2.7, DMIVersion 39, Size=3251]
BiosMajorRelease = 4
BiosMinorRelease = 6
BiosVendor = American Megatrends Inc.
BiosVersion = F5
BiosReleaseDate = [COLOR=#ff0000]05/30/2014[/COLOR]
SystemManufacturer = Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
SystemProductName = Z97X-Gaming 3
SystemFamily = To be filled by O.E.M.
SystemVersion = To be filled by O.E.M.
SystemSKU = To be filled by O.E.M.
BaseBoardManufacturer = Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
BaseBoardProduct = [COLOR=#ff0000]Z97X-Gaming 3[/COLOR]

Since the computer is new, have you checked that everything is connected properly? Ensured that the CPU has been seated properly?

The error was reported from Processor 0, Error Bank 1. I've stressed the reported since there is often a misconception that the processor automatically at fault with a Stop 0x124. The first parameter simply indicates the component which reported the error, and therefore isn't nesscarily the cause of the crash.

Do you know what your idle tempeatures are? Have you checked that everything is compatible?

Thank you for the reply.Is there any software I can use to monitor the temperature and i also forgot to mention if i leave it idle in game it won't BSOD.

Your temperatures are fine, see if the CPU is seated properly, and then we're go from there.

Thank you,sorry for the late reply.I have solved the problem,i move my os to my ssd and have not bsod for 4 days now.Thank you for the help.
