Hi there,

I am getting an BSOD after about two hours of using my computer. I have attached the BSOD and crash file. I have ran sfc /scannow, and a few errors appeared, that can't be fixed. I have also run memtest with no errors.

I hope you can help.

Thanks in advanced

Thank you for your reply, I will do that now :smile9:

Hi, and welcome to Sysnative Forums.

It doesn't appear that you attached anything.

No matter, try again but this time, follow the instructions and post a new thread here >> https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bs...ons-windows-10-8-1-8-7-and-windows-vista.html

You're more likely to get the specialist help that you need in that forum.

Heres how to attach your logs. https://www.sysnative.com/forums/sy...-attach-a-file-or-a-screenshot-to-a-post.html

Good luck!

I have had to upload the Resource and perfomace monitor file to mediafire, as the website will not allow me to upload it.

Your Netgear Neutral Wireless Solution driver seems to be possibly causing issues, I would suggest looking for an update from the driver support page - NETGEAR Support | Welcome

Netgear's Wireless Solution software is garbage, I've seen this many times before.

Harry already took a look, friend.

Netgear's driver is calling the NdisWaitEvent function and being put into a wait state. It's a really old and buggy driver, so it either goofed in kernel-mode somewhere or just inevitably sat in a wait state which threw a pagefault. AFAIK there isn't an update for it, and even if there was, I wouldn't touch that software with a ten foot pole. I don't think it's necessary to any Netgear devices, either. You can probably get the firmware standalone.

Patrick

I have updated the software with the latest version, but still getting BSOD's. Will try the uninstalling and will use the firmware. Spoke to a microsoft technitian, and they said it could be a problem with the motherboard.

and they said it could be a problem with the motherboard.

That's a pretty stretched claim to make, not really sure how they came to that conclusion. Anyway, keep us updated.

Patrick

This seems like a convention to me :grin1:

Anyway, the latest dump is corrupt; the one before hardly has any information at all.
The lastest *useful* dump is the one Harry analysed, so we're not much better off.

Thanks Jared. It seems fine today, which is strange, but will update when it happens again. Upgrading the CPU and Motherboard on Thursday, so will see if it happens then.

Upgrading the CPU and Motherboard on Thursday

Were you planning on doing this regardless of the outcome with the BSOD's?

Regards,

Patrick

I missed that out, yes, I don't recommend upgrading the CPU or motherboard if it's not necessary. That answer from Microsoft was extreme, I can't see any evidence to support such a claim.

Hi Patrick, Yes it is a planned upgrade. Doubtful it is the motherboard, all seems to be working ok, so am 99% sure that isn't the issue. Still waiting for a reply from netgear.

Regards

Dcolt
