The installer ran, and I thought it said it finished successfully, but when I went to the update history it is listed as failed with error code 80073701 and it is not listed in installed updates. Also, in the installed updates list there are several hundred updates that the "installed on" date...

I may have screwed up. I canceled the update and tried to install the update manually but forgot to restart the machine first. It sat there for an hour or so stuck on "scanning updates" or something similar before I re-read your post and realized I didn't restart. So I canceled the install and...

Been stuck at downloading updates 0% complete for a few hours, the CBS.log file is at 3GB and still growing. Should I just let it run overnight?

Went to "Install or uninstall display languages" and it looks like a lot of languages are installed, about 35 of them.
