I found a Windows 7 upgrade is disc from a previous laptop. Would that work to wipe out this Windows? I would be downgrading from Ultimate to Home Premium. I can get over that.

I have. First I had to use software to extract the key from Windows as the gentleman who sold me this did not include a key or disc. From there, I entered it into Microsoft's website. They did not recognize it as valid.

Indeed, I have hit a wall. I tried the above method. It is reading my drivers are current. I suppose I will have to save up and get a Windows disc and just submit that I will/have lost time in preparation for school. You win some and you lose some. I do appreciate your time. Truly.

I extracted my Windows key but Microsoft won't verify it to enable me to download an ISO.

I would definitely reinstall Windows but the seller didn't provide a copy with my computer. He isn't responding to my communications either.

Thank you! I also have a System Event log. Thank you for the warning on driver software. It is no excuse but I was desperate at that point.
