Windows Firewall and odd looking paths showing D:0\ instead of drive letter
Yes, whenever I add a rule for an application on the partition with the letter F assigned to it, the path in Windows Firewall will show D:0\<path to application> rather than F:\<path to application>. I've also seen the path for one of the applications show D:1\<path to application>. This...

Windows Firewall and odd looking paths showing D:0\ instead of drive letter
I don't think so. Also, it wasn't like this before I cloned the disk for the exact same applications.

Windows Firewall and odd looking paths showing D:0\ instead of drive letter
Actually, what I said in my post just above wasn't fully true when I said I didn't get a single hit searching the Registry for D:0\. I did get a number of hits, but they were only for the firewall rules showing the same thing I see in the Window Firewall UI. If I manually remove the rules with...

Windows Firewall and odd looking paths showing D:0\ instead of drive letter
That's good thinking and great advice but sorry to say I already tried that thinking the same. Was surprised to not find a single D:0\ in the Registry. So this seems to go even deeper into the core of Windows and its disk management. What surprised me even more was how deleting the...

Windows Firewall and odd looking paths showing D:0\ instead of drive letter
Thanks for the quick reply and yes, you're correct. Have asked about it over there as well as in the MS Community, the AOMEI support forum and now in here. Seems to be a tricky one. Here's the link to the thread over in the TenForums Strange looking drive letter in Windows Firewall - Windows...

Windows Firewall and odd looking paths showing D:0\ instead of drive letter
A couple of days ago, I replaced my SSD with a bigger one. On the disk, I had two partitions - one 100 GB for Windows (C:) and one 400 GB for other stuff (F:). To replace the disk, I used a tool called AOMEI Backupper which comes with a disk cloning feature. The cloning completed successfully...

NP, I know from own experience how happy you are those times you find an already existing solution to a problem you're having. Which is the reason I always try to remember sharing these kind of things.

CMD script to create multiple directory junctions using mklink
Yep, something like that is what I'm thinking too. Just need to figure out how to transform my thoughts into a working script :-) Hopefully someone over at stackoverflow will be able to help me out. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

[SOLVED]
CMD script to create multiple directory junctions using mklink
Thanks for the suggestion! I had a quick look and found some interesting examples. What I think makes my situation a bit trickier is the numbers in the names of the folders are not in a perfect order. Instead, they look as seen below. Which makes me think I somehow need to 'fetch' the name of...

[SOLVED]
CMD script to create multiple directory junctions using mklink
I guess my question isn't really about programming in its true word but more about scripting and how to create a cmd script to create multiple directory junctions using the mklink command. Here's what I'm trying to achieve: I have a Temp folder (F:\Temp) containing 736 subfolders called...

Remove a picture from 'Your Info'
Does anyone know how to remove a picture you previously uploaded/selected but don't want anymore under 'Your Info'? The picture I'm talking about is the one you'll see during login. I thought I would change my normal picture to another one but then changed my mind. Now I have both my old...

[SOLVED]
Share a folder over home network without password prompting
Found the culprit already. Using Credential Manager on the second PC, I found an old Windows credential entry for my main PC where the shared folders reside. Removing that one sorted the issue. Thanks anyway :)
