Yes, the commands ran exactly as you said they would. I see now that my mistake was seeing DSIM when DISM was clearly written. I initially had some confusion because the GnuWin32 "expand" utility was on my path prior to C:\Windows\system32\expand.EXE. But after I figured that out everything...

Thank you very much. I've gotten to where I should run DSIM.exe, but I'm uncertain whether or not I should run DSIM.exe on a Windows 7 machine. If so, where should I get a copy of DSIM.exe for Win7? Thanks, Walter

[SOLVED] Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Win7 x64 fails with "WindowsUpdate_80073701" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

I've had a persistent problem where every Security Monthly Quality Rollup fails. This started about 10 months ago at about the time where I had to replace an SSD drive and installed an image backup. Or, it may not be related. I've tried several times to fix this on my own without success so...
