Download CBS.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way After the last step I did attempt install of that update (which succeeded), a previous update (which reported was already installed), and the failing update (which failed). Those will be in the CBS as well.

This is a domain controller so there is no builtin but I compared c:\windows and c:\ to another 2008R2 domain controller without update problems and they are the same. For grins I added "network service" with read to c:\ but it didn't make a difference.
