Here is the CBS file that was created after I ran through the steps again: CBS.zip I have also attached the setupapi.dev.log file per someone's suggestion.

Windows 10 Unable to complete "important security and quality fixes, error 0x80070490

I have gone through the steps again from the beginning after failing to get this issue resolved over the last month. SFC scan returned no errors, the DISM scan ran successfully, and running SFCFix found no corruptions to fix. I am at a complete loss and would appreciate any assistance. Thank you

I have been trying to install an update through the Windows update client, 2020-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB4592438). When I restart or shut down and install the update, it gets 7% complete before failing. I get the message that windows was unable to...

Yes, it is still under warranty and I was able to get an RMA approved by EVGA. They will be sending me a replacement in about a week.

[SOLVED] Computer crashes with no BSOD or other error messages. FIX: replaced the old dying PSU with a new one.

I bought a new power supply and switched it out around 3 PM this afternoon. It is now midnight and I have not had any crashes at all since then. I'll wait to see if all goes well tomorrow without any hangups before calling it solved, but I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

Got it, thanks philc43. I plan to go buy a new PSU today and see what happens. When I tried disabling the hibernation per xilolee's suggestion, I got a BSOD after I initiated the restart but before it shut down.

I booted into safe mode to do some digging around, and had yet another BSOD with the error message System Service Exception. Would doing a fresh installation of windows help anything?

And now another BSOD, Page Fault in Nonpaged Area is the new error code. I have turned off my computer for now, I can get back on to add the new dump file to the folder if you need it.

I have had three more crashes since trying to disable the hibernation. Dump Files Here is the folder with the new dump files added to it. I have seen two new error messages on the BSOD, PFN List Corrupt and KMode Exception Not Handled.

Microsoft Defender is the only AV I am using. Dump Files Here is the link to the dump files from the BSOD I got last night, and the two additional crashes I had this morning shortly after I turned on my computer. The BSOD I had this morning had the Kernel Security Check Failure error message...

New development, I did finally get a blue screen. System Service Exception was the stop code. Any advice for getting the collection app to work? I've tried again today with no success.

Haha that's what I like to hear, my computer parts choosing to do their own thing. I don't have another PSU lying around, or even another desktop I could "borrow" from. I guess I'll buy a new one to try and make sure I can return it if it doesn't fix the issue.
