Windows 10 Pro v1709 won't update to v1903, error 0xc1900101

No need. I used the MS Media Creation Tool to create a bootable installation USB thumb drive, removed all my drives, & connected a single spare SSD. Booting from USB drive, it hangs at the Windows logo as before. Looks like its time to buy a new MB, etc. or switch to another OS. Thanks, -Slammer

Disks 0 & 1 are both Intel soft RAID1 volumes.

It failed, I just gave it hours to be sure before hitting reset. You've spent considerable time & effort on this, much appreciated. Perhaps its time to admit defeat & replace/upgrade the system? Thanks, -Slammer

Unfortunately it still hangs on windows logo after installations 1st reboot. I'll leave it there overnight & pick up again tomorrow. Thanks, -Slammer

Unfortunately it still hangs after 1st reboot on windows logo. A reset rolls back to v1709 again, but this time there's an error post login: "0xc1900101 - 0x20017 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation" Thanks, ~Slammer

Win 10 Pro v1709 won't update to v1903, error 0xc1900101. Have tried multiple times & disconnected all non-essential USB peripherals. No corruption errors. Please see attached CBS.zip & advise. Thanks in advance! ~Slammer
