FRST run from desktop No restart required FRST-old version directory produced No log file produced in desktop. C drive scanned and no Fixlog.txt file exists

On restart i received a pop up tellng me windows had recovered form a BSOD Details are BCCode: fe BCP1: 00000008 BCP2: 00000006 BCP3: 00000006 BCP4: 891929D8 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 Files that help describe the problem...

ASO said it wasn't there, Msg "remove from list of programs" (Y) A scan revealed ASO-System Protector_startup in Tasks\ so I deleted that 31 and 45 went quietly I have previously tried .Net (4.8 I think) but installation failed Unsurprisingly 4.5 failed as well - log file attached

Hi Wndows update problem with Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. Windows update produced errors and SFC /scannow identified errors it could not fix so I decided to do a repair install. All went well but towards the end of endless windows updates I got a couple of updates that would not install error 643...

[SOLVED] Windows Update - Cant install IE10 (KB2786081 fails to install)

Thanks for your efforts - Personally I can see no link between various bits of software and a problem with the Boot Configuration. And its tedious getting the PC up and running again. So I left it doing a chkdsk with all the options while I was out this afternoon and that seems to have fixed...
