Windows 7 Boot Manager Error 0x000000f

Thanks plodr! Hiren's on USB now working. I'm not sure of next steps to fix the Windows 7 error (0xc000000f). Can you or anyone else help on that front? Your help is greatly appreciated!

My mistake -- looking at the top of the log rather than the bottom. Windows Updates currently installing. I'll restart and return to post that the issue is solved. Tom- thanks so much for the help. I really appreciate it!

[SOLVED] Windows Update error code 80070490, help!

CBS_2 attached. I removed, then re-installed the Updates Installer, and it is running right now. Will post the log when it's done. Really appreciate your help on all of this!

[SOLVED] Windows Update error code 80070490, help!

Hello, I'm unable to update Windows and error code 80070490 is produced. I've attached my CBS log and a CheckSUR file, and it looks like a corrupt CBS registry file. Please advise on steps to remedy these errors. Your help is much appreciated! PC, Windows Vista Home Basic, 32-bit
