I was a bit hesitant to reboot this server. I connected to it and the updates had attempted to re-install themselves & was prompting that it was going it had a scheduled reboot at 13:30 today. So I've manually rebooted it, it cam back on, thank goodness. However the FRST folder is still not able...

It does still have an update pending installation But the C:\Windows\WinSxS folder no longer contains a Temp folder. The C:\FRST folder I have managed to clear out the majority of the data there are just a few folders containing dll files and such like.

I have drilled down into the folders and there are various dll's that when trying to manually delete they state they are in use by many different system processes. I will attempt to resolve this on Monday. I'm not going to risk rebooting this on a Friday evening.

The uninstall.exe does not remove the folder and just keeps running. I have tried to manually remove the folder but I was prompted that I needed Administrator privileges to do so. I have taken ownership & set Full Access to my admin account on the folders. Now when I try to delete the folders...

Hi, I renamed the tool uninstall.exe yesterday afternoon and ran as administrator. The server is still running the process this morning. Should it take that long? The folder C:\Windows\Winsxs\Temp no longer exists Should I reboot it anyway?

Could you please confirm the order of things. Do you mean to delete C:\Windows\WinSxS\Temp\ > then use the FRST tool. Or to run the FRST tool first > then delete the C:\Windows\WinSxS\Temp\ as a last resort?

Hi, Not easily. It is hosted for us by a 3rd party. Most likely that I would have to get it signed off to have the work done and the charge for extra resources. But if it gets that bad that it is not fixable, then we wouldn't have much choice, i guess.

Hello @Maxstar I am now back at work and have run FRST tool again with the file you provided. Here is the result of the fix. The tool did not prompt for a restart so I have not restarted. I look forward to resuming this work to fix this server. Thanks.
