The other problem here is not just wattage. It's quality. Gamemax are notoriously poor quality PSUs. Don't fall into the trap of "it has enough wattage, so it is fine" - wattage is useless without quality. This is the sole component that supplies power to the rest of your system, and cheap...

Replacing old HDD with new SSD - What should I be aware of?

Through services on the Windows OS once it's installed. It's not something you do in advance. Enable or Disable SuperFetch in Windows We usually recommend disabling it just as it's redundant and can sometimes slow SSDs down, as it's a service to try and speed HDD operations up.

My view with PSUs is you never lose getting a PSU upgrade. I see far too many systems damaged by poor quality and faulty PSUs, the quantity of wattage is useless without quality. Going to a newer platform CX means regardless whether it fixes your current issue or not, you can rest easy knowing...

Obviously await thoughts from the BSOD instructors however I will add that the PSU you have stated is of poorer quality as the CX#00M series are only the green label previous generation PSUs. Even more so if it is nearly 5 years old. The newer generation CX models are much better (grey label)...
