Uh oh! Lol. I had a feeling this may end in having to upgrade. I don’t mind doing so but do you know whether windows is still offering free upgrade to windows 10? I heard the offer has expired and I really don’t want to spend the money on a computer as old as this one.

Updated the driver successfully. Tried SP1 install again. Failure with the same "invalid parameter 0x80070057"

I went ahead and uninstalled the "unknown device" and it was successfully uninstalled. Tried installing SP1 again and still the same install failure with ""invalid parameter 0x80070057" as before. :(

When I try to update the device driver it returns the message: "Windows could not find driver software for your device". And since I don't know what the driver is, I can't manually search for the driver and install it. Should I uninstall it?
