PC to PC share access without password is not a working szenario. (Not exactly sure about guest access nowadays, and tbh Windows Home editions are something I don't work with so I may stand corrected.) You need a local account on the system sharing the printer with password and use that account...

[SOLVED] L key causes screen to blank and Windows log in screen to come up

That would be a "sticky" Windows key (the one with the banner) since the shortcut Windows + L is locking the screen as you described. Eventually you can try to pull of the Windows key keycaps and clean the area below and the keys themselves.
