Hie Apologies for the late update.So I decided to upgrade to windows 10 and the upgrade was successful.So far everything is working just fine,so I think you can close the thread now. Thanks a lot for all the help!

Windows update is still giving me the error code so I cant access the list of available updates.As for the sp1 update ,I downloaded that from the Microsoft update catalog and tried to do a manual install.I think it failed because I later noticed that the application's digital signature...

I've attached the two log files. I also read somewhere that since windows 7 reached its end of life,this version of windows has become too old to contact the Microsoft servers.Could that be a valid thing and be the reason for the update error code?
