Yes it is. And that's why I've installed all the others C++ packages with the extension .msi. As said in my first post here Side-by-side incorrect error & not able to install VC++2005, I've already tried to restart it but without change... Do you know a way to install manually the 2005 C++...

Hi sofwaremaniac, files send by MP. You will see that the antivirus is disabled but this is not due to a virus, it just can't start due to the side-by-side error (I've done a scan with Windws Defender which shows no problem). I've seen in files that C++2005 is said "installed" while it not in...

Here is the SxsTrace (recorded when I tried to open several programs, but could do it with almost all 32 bits programs...). And here is the Application Event Log (the 256 last events but it's always the same thing since the begin of s-b errors because I can't do anything).

No it's the contrary. I said in my problem description, to solve side-by-side errors I've tried to install the latest packages of each C++ version (x86 and x64 of 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2017). All of them are installed excepted the 2005 which failed.

Side-by-side incorrect error & not able to install VC++2005

Hi xilolee, the CheckSUR errors are solved (https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-update/24169-w7sp1pro-x64-check-sur-unavailable-repair-files.html#post200285) but I still have the side-by-side errors (and impossible to install VC++ 2005). Any idea ?
