Hello again, Before I could replace the drive I was asked to do Dell's diagnostic test at boot time to see if it truly was the drive at fault. The result was surprising as no errors was found. This could be a false negative result so next I did a chkdsk /r and sure enough errors was found and...

sorry for the late reply I only have access to this system on weekdays. The extended self-test doesn't finish, I retried it thrice and it doesn't move past 10% and I waited for hours even after it has passed the estimated duration given. Should I keep trying? For the Attributes screenshot:
