PXE Boot menu for deploying Linux with Windows Deployment Services (WDS)

Process monitor and Wireshark helped me to solve the problem. TFTP-connection was fine, actual problem was that I had wrong files in the wrong directory. Now the PXE boot menu works. Tomorrow I will try to add images to install. Instructions on the internet all say this works with legacy boot...

Tried several directories to copy the file but no luck. Will try tomorrow your suggestion about Process Monitor.

Addtional info: boot goes fine, press f12 to network boot no problem. Next computer says xxx \boot\x64\pxelinux.com (this file loads fine, it says version number and some other data) Then it hits the problem: failed to load vesamenu.c32. It does not matter what i write to default file that sits...

We have Windows Server 2016 Essentials and it has Windows Deployment Service configured and couple of windows images installed. It works fine when you want to install Windows through PXE Boot. You know press f12 to boot from network and so on... I would also like to deploy Linux installations...

What a shock, clean install did not work. It gave error message could not find recovery media or installation. Is it possible to do clean install options with some usb-stick that has win 10 bootable ISO? That win iso image, does that have to be 1803-image? Doing this will mess up the dual-boot...

On the unplugged drive WinXP and on the SSD-Drive windows 10. Nothing else and win10 is in dual boot config. Would clean install of win10 get rid of that error?

I tweaked some of the security settings and now could install the update KB4100347. Used gpedit.msc to allow automatic updating ja change settings so that updates should install. You there are restrictions, anything that would point me to right direction? Is there some spesific setting that...

There you go. Like I said this machine checks updates about 10-15 minutes and then says machine is up to date. Other machine checks about 30 seconds and then starts downloading updates. I feels that windows tries for a while and then gives up.
