[SOLVED] Problems With Windows Update-Found Corrupted Files in SFC Scan

I didn't do the reset yet. I will be doing it later tonight after making sure I have all the passwords I will need for programs I will be re-installing. I will make another post if I have trouble updating after the reset. Thank you for your help and sorry for the confusion.

[SOLVED] Problems With Windows Update-Found Corrupted Files in SFC Scan

But I haven't been able to update my laptop for a couple months now. Everything hangs at 4%. I am pretty sure its been since April. Aren't the Microsoft updates important? Thanks. P.S. Is not being able to update windows related to the bug they found?

I have decided to do a complete factory reset so that my laptop is like when I took it out of the box. I have too much junk to go through and would like to start fresh. I will post another thread if I have the same issues again. Does anyone know whether the corrupted files will still be there...
