Hi Satrow, No, nothing in the Error reporting catagory when opened up again. Windows Error reporting service is set to Manual (Default) Turned off Win Patrol and no change. Magdalene

Hi Satrow, With Cryptographic Service disabled (in order to get the 'referral error' as oposed to 'Could not start On-screen keyboard' error with service running) I left the error on screen. No Icon in Taskbar (Checked for hidden icons as well) so opened 'Task Manager and under Applications Tab...

Hi Satrow, No, nothing under Critical, Error or Warning. Then cleared all logs to start afresh and tried to start OSK again several times, both with Cryptographic service on and with it disabled (this because was getting different error message with it disabled and thought might throw further...

Hi Satrow, Just on the off chance I stopped/disabled the service and although OSK still wont play I got a different error message 'referral returned from server' Magdalene.

Hi Plodr, The process shows briefly in Task manager (approx couple of secs) then disappears. Then get message box 'Could not start On-Screen Keyboard' so not sure if process fully starts or not. That is to say does it start and is then terminated, or is it being prevented from fully starting...
