I had similar issues right before my whole windows store stopped working. I wound up doing a repair install of windows 10 to fix (using the get windows 10 button on Microsoft site.) It kept everything as is, including desktop/program links... However I am not authorized to give official help...

Wasn't as bad as I expected though, if I knew everything would remain linked etc by just re-running the installer. I would of done it a long time ago and saved the month long hassle. I half expected to spend the next 10 hours reinstalling games and configuring steam files and such. (The issues...

[SOLVED] Windows 10 Store Issue

I used the upgrade windows button on Microsoft site.. redownloaded the installer for windows 10 and used that to install... it kept everything where it was so luckily I don't need to readd desktop shortcuts and my steam folder etc 900 gb of games now... That has fixed the issues thank the gods...

[SOLVED] Windows 10 Store Issue

Nope still having the issues, and failed update. WSreset tells me it needs a new app ms-windows-store and when I do the powershell commands posted all over the web, it has a merge failure and a bunch of error codes. Even a recovery doesn't help so I think one of the forced updates screwed me...

Yeah, that was probably before my time. I think the HQ was moved since it isn't in Yonkers anymore. I wasn't aware of that history, but learn something new every day. I will have to research it now. I'm glad to be here :)

Yes, I had to restart because of 'explorer' refreshing every time I tried to go to folders. Then all 49 updates installed properly ;). Any other tests I should run before we consider this resolved?

I had to restart my machine, because after I moved the new file into the folder 'windows explorer' kept refreshing itself. Restart fixed that, and then all 49 windows updates installed successfully... So unless there are any other tests I need to run, I think this issue is resolved!! Wahoo!!
