Downloaded it from MS website. Apparently that is not enough. It needs to be written as a bootable image. Without the ability to get into my computer, I can't create a bootable image. Is there no way to boot in safe mode without first getting into Windows?

I cannot get back into Windows to create a bootable USB. On another computer I was able to download the MCT and the latest Windows 10 disk image and put them on a flash drive. When I try to boot from the Flash drive via BIOS, i get 1 of two messages: Check Cable Connection! and Missing...

Tried first method and after about 30% completion I received the message "There was a problem resetting your PC". Will try to restore to factory settings now.

Yes. Should I "remove everything" or choose "restore factory settings" . That would restore Windows 8 in my case since that what came with the PC. I am willing to try either.

It's been a few months since I tried it. I definitely recall resetting PC but i don't recall if I tried it in WINRE mode. The reset did not work. It was not able to complete the process.
