I used the hidden recovery partition from Lenovo to reset it to factory settings. Windows update seems to be working now (got 8.1 and the latest updates). Here is my new CBS file. Let me know if there are any problems!

Tried doing the system refresh and got this blue screen: I would need to request a Win8 CD from Lenovo I think. Or can I just use my Win7 Home Premium disc from my desktop to install that? What options do I have here?

I haven't been able to run sfc /scannow (Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation). I just tried doing an advanced startup with command prompt to possibly get around this, but got hit with this blue screen: Recovery Your PC needs to be repaired. File...

Did a chkdsk /r and computer booted up normally after. Not sure what the problem is. Can't update my Windows!
