[SOLVED] [WinServer2012 x64] WU 80070246. DISM Error: 582 illegal character was encountered.

I noticed the error I kept getting was that the Component Store was corrupt when trying to run those updates - went ahead and ran SFC /SCANNOW and it stated again there were corrupt files and that they were repaired. Just to try it, I went ahead and ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth...

[SOLVED] [WinServer2012 x64] WU 80070246. DISM Error: 582 illegal character was encountered.

It failed again with the same result. I have even confirmed the file is in that location by going into the directory C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_ntprint.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.2.9200.17072_none_37b45bc08c137986\ - the file is indeed there. Attached is the txt file. Thanks!

[SOLVED] [WinServer2012 x64] WU 80070246. DISM Error: 582 illegal character was encountered.

So I rebooted the Server and ran updates again. It looked like they installed as it said a reboot was needed to finish installing updates. I rebooted the server again, it took a while to come back up, but when it did it said the update process failed and it was being reverted - that screen went...

I just noticed it asked me to reboot to finish installing updates. I have rebooted the server and attempting to run the updates again.

That CBS log does not show up in my c:\windows\Logs\CBS folder - I do however have the log that I submitted from that date it is attached.
