Members 13 posts After updating all XP files Apr 8, I defragged complete Then ran a registry defrag power outage crashed my system after defrag but before restart. F8 does not access safe mode, or other commands. can reach repair at C;\windows but can access limited functions...

Re: 1st steps in eradiicating BSOD's (I hope.......) SOLVED? I accidentally fixed(i believe) my constant issues wi/BSOD's some as many as 6-8 daily, for three months. whie attempting to upgrade BIOS per your rquest, i stumbled on an HP product page for my system, that lists several updates...

2nd posting perfmon report difficulty in attaching 2nd report. Jostonboe. size exceeded limit in first post size of html file is 883.6kb. size limit for post in that format is 97.7kb. please advise what to do. thanks jostonboe
