I searched for both setupapi.dev.log and setupapi.*dev*.log and no such file exists in Windows/INF directory or in Windows directory...

here is exactly what I typed expand windows6.1-kb4074598-x64_87a0c86bfb4c01d9c32d2cd3717b73c1b83cb798.msu -f:C:\Temp still get the same message...obviously I am missing something here!

I created a folder in C:\ ...named it Temp I downloaded the windows update MSU file into that folder I ran CMD as administrator I followed your instructions to change C:\ users\windows ...to C:\Temp I entered the EXPAND command as per your instructions (I copied in the msu id from the C:\temp...
