Couple of years since this was posted, but yes, thanks for this proper nifty cool little tool find! Nice clean & easy to use, & saves a lot of time having to physically root out the Windows Service you need to change permissions for!... (y);)

[SOLVED] sfc /scannow problem!

Well now, so after much hesitation I finally went ahead with an in-place upgrade! I used the Media Creation Tool to create an ISO, & used that method for perhaps less updates!? Whoever said the process is relatively quick & easy (that's all I've been reading in various guides!) is LYING...

If I do an in-place upgrade, which option ( Upgrade this PC now or Create installation media for another PC ) would be best for my circumstances❓ Thanks.

I thaught as much but wasn't 100% sure (too much different info out there!), I even considered Intel Optane Memory 64gb, but then realised my MB CPU wasn't capable. Would I have to re-install Windows (OEM) on the M.2 SSD to have it as the Boot/OS?, or could I just clone my HDD to the SSD after...

So if (forgive my noobness!) I can only use M.2 SATA, which I more or less thaught was the case, do you reckon I should still try & go down the RST caching route, & leave HDD in laptop just for storage purposes, or not bother with the hastle (my M.2 slot is located on the underside of MB! :mad:)...

Thanks Tekno Venus for your fast reply. Would the free version do the job? as I'll probably only use the Clone feature just the one time! I'm used to my AOMEI Backupper Professional for doing System backups & the like (works perfect for me!).
