Windows update hung when searching for updates.

My windows update is stuck on "checking for updates". There have been several failed attempts at updating over the last year with very few successful. Haven't had continued successful updates since 9/10/15. Export (1).txt - Google Drive Please help!!

Are you also able to help me with the issue on my other computer that I mentioned above? Should I run the same fix?

I was able to get several updates to install last night for the first time since March 2016, however, they were all old downloads that were never installed. It wouldn't search for anything new because it always wanted to restart. I am downloading new updates now for the first time with the fix...

Wow thanks! That was a fast response. I'm running the fix now. Perhaps you can help me with another computer experiencing a similar problem. This PC has not been updated for several months and when I check for updates it is just hung endlessly. Export (1).txt - Google Drive
