BSOD 5-6 times a few days ago, not since; CPU Fan has been running full but temp normal

C drive not accessible ("not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match") 5 months after cloning. Now booting off other internal drive (clone of 1st)

Is there a bug with Intel RST - that it somehow picked up the cloned drive instead of the C drive, and then is ignoring the original C drive? Can I revert to an older version of Intel RST? This might temporarily solve the problem, but I'm not confident I can do that safely.

The BIOS says <RAID>. Problem is: a few years ago I locked the BIOS with a password... and have forgotten the password. I can just read but not dig down or change options. It's never worked as a RAID. Until 5 months ago there wasn't a 2nd HDD installed. I have a vague memory that a long time...

It's because the drive keeps getting removed by Intel rapid storage technology. It doesn't mount on bootup, so it's not accessible after bootup.

Hi, 4 days ago (Monday morning), when I woke the laptop up, my C drive (SSD) became inaccessible. Event viewer warning says "was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match." My laptop began booting off my other internal drive (new SSD), which was a clone of the C drive made 5 months ago...

That's exactly what I was thinking for this old laptop, as I've already done it with the other one. Actually, I tried to upgrading for free when Win10 came out (failed), and I still have the link or whatever it is that's supposed to allow me to upgrade for free. But I'll have to replace the...

Solving a problem isn't a sad thing. Knowing a clear way forward is actually a good feeling. As long as I can save the data. Thanks for your patient help since last October. I should have checked the hardware first... lesson for next time.

Here's the screenshot. After that I also ran FRST according to your previous instructions and have attached the SearchReg file -- just in case anything has changed: had a BSOD today, possibly due to overheating. It has happened a few times in the past, but not for 9 months or so.
