[W7] I think an update has failed causing EXTREMELY slow performance.

Hi, After using my windows 7 PC, i noticed there were updates so I think I downloaded them and shut down the PC. A few days later when I switched on the PC it appeared to freeze for long periods (between 5-10 seconds) where the mouse would not move, then there is a short 'blip' where I can move...

[SOLVED] [Win7SP1] Jan 2017 Security KB3212646 does not update?

Hi Brian, Interesting...:huh: The CBS log after the last install attempt is now 25MB so I cannot attached it, however..KB3212646 has installed!!!! See the slide attached.. I also installed 2 pending updates after KB3212646 OK. Is my issue fixed? If so can I reinstall Avast and peer blocker...

Hi Brian, As directed I have created a 'restore point' (though I don't know it's destination?) No error messages were received. I have also uninstalled the following programs: Avast Free Antivirus PeerBlock 1.2 (r693) I've unplugged the PC from the network and switched off WiFi. What's next...
