This just jogged my memory back about 6 years ago when I had serious problems after upgrading from XP. Brink from Windows Seven forum and I had several discourses during that situation. I ended up getting advice from a MS systems engr that possibly my retail DVD, the same Family pack might have...

Need to back up a bit. Reading the package it doesn't say SP1 anywhere so I may be wrong. But I recently downloaded a Win7 ISO from the interweb so maybe I could go that way instead?

Sure. Family pack of 3. Actually used twice after running sfc scannow before I contacted this forum. Did not help IMHO. P.S. You lost me after midnight EST.

Download Fixlog.txt from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way OK'ed six times. All went well.

Download SFCFix.txt from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way I had IE10 before starting today; that changed to IE11 during the upgrade step in your instructions earlier.

Download CBS.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way Ah, success, had to tansfer it to Documents then zip it. Hope it worked.

OK. So I ran update twice. Installed successfully KB's 3185319, 4012218, 3078601 and IE11 for x64 systems. KB 3124275 failed to install. IE 11 still opening to "blank" screen, as is Secunia PSI.
