Thank you, this seemed to eliminate some errors and now sfc.exe and dism.exe don't report anything suspicious anymore. Nevertheless Windows Update is still not working: It quits with a 0x80073701 - ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING after a while. Seems like more files are missing... :-/ I attached...

...what the...? I don't know when or why, the system settings now can be opened from the Windows search-bar and the "personalize" context-menu when right-clicking on the background-image. That is clearly a good sign. :-) I directly checked the Windows Update section and there are no updates...
