Trouble updating Windows 8 - keeps undoing!

I've had no luck with upgrades on my Win 8 Asus PC for months! I've searched thoroughly for a solution to no avail. Currently have over 45 critical updates that will go through the install process, but when I reboot, it gets to about 15% installed and then undoes everything. I've been able to...
