[SOLVED] SFCFix Crashes

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Looks good! Also, when I cleaned out the dust, I realized I'd already replaced the PSU with an EVGA 400W. It's not an 80 PLUS unit, but it's not the cheap 275 Watt factory PSU either. I think I'll trust the current PSU...

I do have a spare PSU to test. I was going to do that last, but corrupted files have been repaired!? I wasn't expecting that without the Defender Update.

The machine restarts at random times. I think it may be when it's stressed, though I can't confirm because I wasn't the user it when it suddenly restarts. It's not getting any BSODs. Though, I just had to restore this machine to yesterday because during startup just before the login screen...

If you're able to tell that SFC will likely pass after the Defender update, then I should look elsewhere to see why this machine suddenly restarts randomly?

Thanks for your reply. Is the issue that I have with SFC only that there's a bug with matching the Defender files? The version I have for Windows Defender is: Antimalware Client Version: 4.18.1907.4 I understand the issue was fixed in 4.18.1908. I can't see how to manually download that...

Hi. I am running a PC with Windows 10. It will suddenly restart occasionally. There are no (known) malware or viruses. I have also run MalwareBytes AntiMalware, it returned 0 infections. I encountered "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."...
