Success! Got BSOD when shutting down for restart but all looks ok when reboot. Windows Update History shows successful install and it also shows up in the Installed Features list. Windows update also shows new update: "2019-09 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems...

Looks like I need your help again. I'm getting code 8007371B when installing "2019-09 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4516065)". I've: - run SFC /scannow which indicates no issues. - download and run latest SURT - checksur.log is attached. Thanks Frank

Really appreciate the help. Don't have thanks enough! A final question if I may: Is there something/anything I can/should be doing to prevent corruption in the future or is it a case of "..sometimes things glitch"?

Update history is showing Successful. Also it shows up in the list under "Installed Updates"

It would appear yes. The update is no longer on the update list and history says success. Is there something in the logs that indicates failure to configure the updates?

Not that I noticed. There were several reboots with usual "applying updates don't turn off machine". IIRC one went to 30% then rebooted. The next time it went to 100% and eventually to login screen. ( Note that I stopped the procmon logging before the first restart ). Also Update history is...

Progress! Download went to 100%, Restore Point created, Indicated that install succeeded, Restart, Four reboots! Logs uploaded to dropbox in case there is more to do. Procmon and CBS logs3.zip Thanks Frank
