Oh, yeah, my bad. I read that DDR3 SDRAM allows DRAM chips DRAM chip capacities of up to 8 gigabits (Gbit). I forgot to do the calculations. Since there are up to four ranks of 64 bits, that maximum capacity is 16 gigabytes. But according to Wikipedia, Intel CPUs had problems addressing beyond...

Judging by your CPU model and the Vostro model numbers listed in the first image, the documentation predates the invention of 8 GB RAM modules.

Good. (I know, you said a lot of other things, but I think they amount to "we disagree.") Exactly what I was saying. And exactly the opposite of what the diagram says. It mustn't mislead people interested in developing games for mobile devices to go that way. Or at least, the "3D/Gaming" label...

You just contributed one more item to the list of the infographic's flaws. What can I say? The author must have thought, "you wanna get started and learn, but you're not a kid? Oh, I know. Read the dragon book and develop device drivers! And forget that you can do that with C++/WinRT, Rust...

This infographic is ancient. It has so many flaws: It has pure C in it! Is there even an IDE for pure C? Starting with a non-object-oriented programming language is a huge mistake anyway. Recommending C++ for game development is weird; there are so many game engines for JavaScript and C# right...

[SOLVED] File sharing failure on an otherwise healthy network

Oh, yeah. Done that too. Also did a Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth. Didn't help. I ended up using Windows Setup to fix the problem.

Hi. I'm at my wits end. My network infrastructure is okay, and almost all network services running on my computer are accessible to computers beyond. (Remote Desktop, Apache, etc.) Internet connection is fine too. I am using it to write this post! But no one from outside can access my network...
