Hi Stephen, Thanks for the quick reply. Have done what you asked and both logs are below, however I got the shlwapi.dll error pop up twice when I ran sfcfix.exe. I clicked ok (the only option available) and then it said I had an internet problem. I hit enter and then it produced the log...

I managed to install the updates by downloading the standalone installer, but still get the .dll errors. Can anyone offer any further help?

Hi Stephen, Thanks for your speedy reply and sure thing to using the image of my Memtest. I have a higher resolution copy if the one I uploaded isn't good enough. Here is the contents of my SURT log. I ran the update twice as it only installed one update the first time, so rebooted and tried...

Hi Richard, Thanks again for your help; I had tried the MS Update fail link before but with no success. The Update trouble-shooter scanned and found errors, but couldn't fix them all automatically. Thanks for trying to help me out, but unfortunately still stuck. Regards, Duff

Hi Richard III, I had, but tried again just to check. It is in the list and when I click uninstall it starts to uninstall. After about 10 seconds it then stops and says "An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled." I have tried to re-install IE10 and also...

Hi jcgriff and Richard, My CDs came today so I ran Memtest86+. It was on for about 7 hours today and did 4 passes but no errors were shown. I can try and run it for more passes if you think that might find errors. I have tried to re-install DivX but I get the dll errors again and click ok...
