I'm back from holiday travel. Did the windows test on the memory. No results. Tried to find the memory test component in the bios but did not see it as an option on my gigabyte bios.

Yes, that was my screw-up. I saw 32 megs of ram installed in computer properties and transposed the number with the operating system. Mea culpa.

I appreciate all your help so far but my operating system is 64 bit. I think there may be a problem with having certain 32 bit operating system elements in here. should I download the 64 bit? The 32 bit would not run.
