[SOLVED] Unable to use restore points

I've solved the problem myself by doing a Windows repair. System restore now works. I've also saved system image and created a repair disk.

Hi xilolee. I've found this in another forum: How to fix system restore in Windows 7 – FROT in your view, is the logic sound, and should I give it a try? I don't want to do anything risky. Cheers, Dennis

I've deleted all previous restore points and then I created a new one. Then, by way of a test, I tried restoring to that one but got the same message. Clearly I don't want to restore my system to a previously corrupted state, but it seems there is a current issue, as restoring to a current...

Thanks for getting back to me. Did as you asked and got: "The remote procedure call failed. The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log" I have attached the CBS log you asked for, as well as the dism log. Thanks, Dennis
