ran sfc /scannow twice .................both times only corrupt file was invagent.dll BUT the second run returned Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection did not find any...

[SOLVED] [8.1Upd3 x86] SFC errors on "windows Journal.lnk".

windows Journal.lnk corruption now appears permanently fixed..thank you. However, sfc /scannow repeatedly (tried 3 more times) terminates with following Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log...

C:\WINDOWS\system32>copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt The syntax of the command is incorrect. looked fine to me but manually copied file. I had to zip it to attach as was too large

[SOLVED] [8.1Upd3 x86] SFC errors on "windows Journal.lnk".

I have identical issue as another post in this forum, but did not want to use script file provided as the warning advised not to. I have run sfc /scannow several times (rebooting between each). I have rebuilt repository with DISM from the original 8.1 install DVD. Finally running the SFCfix...
