[SOLVED] Continued audio issues on a laptop. FIX: I reinstalled Intel rapid storage, Intel management engine and bios.

Installing this version of the rapid storage driver has helped reduce the latency so far. However, I have run into another issue. Let me know if I should make a new thread for this, but I am getting this screen when I attempt to update my BIOS to the latest update: Alienware 17 R3 bios update...

The problem seems to persist even while doing a clean boot. Also, I'm not sure if this is related or not, but I am unable to update my BIOS to the latest version currently. I noticed on Dell's support site that there is a new BIOS update available but every time I attempt to update this it shuts...

Thank you for responding. I have made sure to update all of my drivers to their latest versions and my BIOS is also running the latest version (1.4.4). I am still encountering issues. Do you think it is a hardware issue at this point?

I should also mention I will have periods wherein the dpc latency is extremely bad, then other days with no issues. I cannot pin down what is changing the performance. Also, the inside of the laptop is clean and I actually just sent it in for a cleaning/repair at a store so I believe it is in...

Hello, I have posted here about this problem in the past but it has returned. Basically I am getting really bad driver latency times mainly due to my network card, I believe. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any help you folks could provide to help me troubleshoot and diagnose my audio...

Re: DPC Latency causing audio crackling The BIOS update seemed to fix the issue for me although I'm not 100% sure it won't come back again. Thanks for the help!
