Since it uses your "Live" or "Microsoft" ID, if you didn't use a gmail account as that, yes, it would probably make it harder to switch. That's what Google intended, to be fair.

Without a kernel debugger attached, the crash process cannot be interrogated to see what's happening. Also, if your system crashes and starts dumping memory to disk (even if it hangs or fails), it did load.
