Seems like my issues have subsided now via what I can only assume has been a combination of Win10 Updates, BitDefender reinstall+updates, and a driver update :) Thanks for all your help @cwsink !

Sorry, I'll try with the script next time. I have BD reinstalled with the firewall module disabled, waiting for the popping to come back. I'll run the script if as soon as I start noticing popping again. Take care.

Also, I opened a ticket with BitDefender and they've asked me to reinstall and disable some features to try and find the module that might be causing the problem. I still had some very minor popping with bitdefender removed but it was tolerable.

So I think you were right about Bitdefender, the issue has definitely gotten MUCH better since uninstalling it. I still get some audio poping but it's much less frequent and almost unnoticeable. I recently ran a download while watching a video and caught some popping. Trace linked below...

Whooops!!! You are right, I just checked your message this morning and stopped my xperf trace - 45GB! I'll try your script and redirect the output to an external drive - trying to prolong the life of my SSD

Ok, I'm running the trace and waiting for the stuttering to come back naturally... this may take a day or so... As soon as it starts to happen I'll run the "xperf -d "%userprofile%\Desktop\trace.etl"" command Edit: I've removed Bitdefender

The previous trace was during some downloads in order to recreate the issues. Are you asking me to do another trace with Bitdefender removed?

Thanks cwsink! I've kept all my drivers up to date via the page linked below. I wonder if it's possibly one of the more advanced settings inside the driver causing issues... Downloads for Intel® NUC Kit NUC8i5BEH

Hello, I've been having a lot of audio issues and general system responsiveness issues since building this Intel NUC. I've done my best to keep all the drivers up to date and power settings at max but haven't been able to figure out whats causing it. The audio issues come and go whenever...
